More Families Sue Airlines

You may have heard more families sue airlines recently. Why is that the case? People generally like certainty. They like to plan and expect everything to go according to plan. And like the Joker said in Batman, when things do not go according to plan there is always panic.

More families today are traveling together. Call it family bonding or something else it doesnít matter. The fact is that group and family travel has increased over the years. And usually when something unforeseen occurs or an unfortunate airport event is experienced by travelers, the frustration it causes is automatically amplified.

Why? The more travelers involved, the better the chances that several amongst them will share the same frustration. And when a few frustrated people get together the effect is naturally amplified. Add to that travelers with little children - we all know children are not the most patient people of all.

When a child starts getting antsy, the effect trickles to the guardian. Similarly, there are several other factors that can cause a lot of frustration and even anger depending on each traveler or traveling groupís experiences.

If you have been following the airline industry you know that airline complaints are on the rise and more people are filing complaints against airline companies. Many of those complaints result from airline abuse or simple ignorance and irresponsibility on the part of the airline staff.

Think about it, have you ever had a delay (due to fault of the airline) and had to miss an event or meeting? Have you ever had your baggage lost or damaged? What about being stranded at the airport overnight while your family is waiting for you at home?

Sometimes it is not the airline companyís fault. However when it is, you should at least be compensated for your troubles. The problem is, many airline companies forget this part of the equation. When airlines continue to ignore passenger complaints, many people end up getting frustrated. Unfortunately most donít know where to take it from there.

The ones who do know where to take it usually file lawsuits in Small Claims Court. Similarly, more families sue airlines today in Small Claims Court because of the ease involved in the process. Further, no expensive attorney is needed to pursue a complaint.

The sole purpose of my book ďSue the AirlinesĒ is to bring more awareness to travelers regarding their recourse against airline abuse and mistreatment. If no action is taken against the airlines, the wrong practices will continue to occur and more people are going to be left frustrated.
